WIOA Approved Courses and Programs – The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) helps many individuals obtain new job skills and training to make them more employable. If you meet the eligibility requirements and funding is available, WIOA may help pay for your tuition, books, and other fees associated with college courses. WIOA Grant Programs

The general services covered through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grant Programs include resume writing, soft skill training, support services, on-the-job training.

Eligibility

  • Must be between 17-24 years of age
  • Low Income
  • Not in School
  • Basic Skill Deficit

Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be a citizen or non-citizen.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Candidates must meet selective service registration requirements (males only)

Low income (one of six)

  • Cash welfare
  • Homeless
  • Foster Child
  • Family low-income determination
  • Disability
  • Basic Skills Deficit (BSD)

Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Has been terminated or laid off within the last five years, or has been received. Notice of employment termination or layoff. Eligible for OR have exhausted unemployment benefits.
  • Unlikely to return to a previous industry or occupation because the occupation or industry is Low Growth or decline.
  • Self Employed (including employment as a farmer, rancher or fisherman).
  • Displaced homemaker OR is a spouse of the Armed Forces on active duty.
